Having qualified 36 numbers through to the finals of the 2009 All England National Dance Competition, the company pupils ranging from age 9yrs to 18 yrs spent a week at the Peacock Theatre in London’s West End during July 2009 competing against the nation’s top dancing schools winning a total of 67 gold, 28 silver and 40 bronze medals.  To compete at national finals is a culmination of a two year qualifying process across the country where entrants had to receive a mark of 84 and above at their local dance festivals to qualify for Regional Finals. Those gaining an honours mark at Regional level are then invited to continue to the prestigious National Finals event in London.  The Southern Regional Finals event was held in Fareham and a total of 45 J.A.C.A.D. Company pupils and their parents spent a week travelling back and forth to Fareham to compete the 69 dances that had qualified.  The school achieved great success in a fantastic competition with the 36 dances which qualified for London finals consisting of 10 group numbers, 6 quartets, 2 trios, 4 Duets and 14 solos across dance genres including ballet, modern, tap and song & dance.

The standard at the National Finals was excellent, not only the experience for those competing at such a high level, but also for those who came to watch.  J.A.C.A.D. achieved the following placements:
