Emily left JACAD with scholarships at several colleges offering full time training programmes. She decided that JACAD had sufficiently prepared her not to need 3 years further training, so she opted for a 1 year course at Tiffany Theatre College on a full scholarship. She graduated in 2007 and since then has worked consistently for Royal Caribbean International, including two contracts as Dance Captain. She has also performed at Wembley Stadium at the UEFA Champions League Final. Emily has just returned from a world cruise on the Radiance of the Seas and has recently begun training in aerial arts.
Emily Newton had this to say about JACAD
"I began training with Jayne at the age of 2 and a half, and since that time I found a true love and passion for dance. JACAD has taught me everything I know, from technique to performance, and what I find is common among many of Jayne's former pupils who are now in the industry is true emotion and love for what they do. I was so well prepared when I left the school at 18 that I turned down scholarships for 3 years training and chose to do a one year course, simply because JACAD had pushed me to such a high standard. Jayne is so inspiring to me and I would not have walked straight into a performing career had it not been for everything I learnt at JACAD. Sometimes its hard to pursue your dreams, but Jayne is behind her pupils 100% of the time and whether someone is dancing for fun or as a professional, JACAD will get the best out of them. I am truly grateful for Jayne's guidance and advice, and for giving me the courage to follow my passion."
